Privacy Policy

Effective October 28, 2026

Who we are

Astrolivo is an astrology website that calculates natal charts, rising signs, Moon signs and the Moon’s current sign, and offers AI-written readings of a chart and a chat about it, with an optional paid subscription (Premium). This policy explains what information we handle when you use it, as a visitor, as a guest who calculates a chart, as a signed-in user and as a subscriber.

Astrolivo is operated by Zorka Apps Limited, No. 5, 17/F, Strand 50, 50 Bonham Strand, Sheung Wan, Hong Kong (“we”, “us”). We decide why and how the personal information described here is processed.

For privacy questions and requests, email us at [email protected].

What we collect

We handle the following information, depending on what you do.

  • Birth details you enter: birth date, local birth time (or the fact that you do not know it) and the birthplace you pick from the suggestions. From the place we use its coordinates and historical time zone to calculate the chart. We keep the calculated result together with these inputs, except in the calculators described under Calculators that do not save anything.
  • A guest session: a cookie that identifies your browser to our server, so that your calculated result stays available to you only. Our database keeps a hash of the cookie value, not the value itself.
  • Account information, if you sign in: your email address when you use an email sign-in link, or the identifier and email address that Google provides when you choose Google sign-in. Sign-in is offered only when it is switched on.
  • Saved charts, if you save them: the label you give each chart (a name or nickname), whether you marked it as yours, the birth details and the calculated chart.
  • AI readings and chat: the readings you ask for, the questions you type in the chat about a chart and the answers, stored with that chart or guest result, together with technical details of each answer (the model used, its length in tokens, its cost and timing).
  • Subscription and payment records, if you subscribe: the customer and subscription identifiers that our payment processor Stripe assigns, the subscription status, the end of the current billing period and whether it is set to cancel, and for each payment its amount, currency, date and Stripe invoice identifier. We never receive your card number.
  • Sign-in messages: when you ask for an email link, we send one email that contains only the link. It never contains birth details or chart data.
  • Your privacy choices: whether you allowed optional analytics, the region category used to decide that, and the policy version you saw.
  • Product events and error reports, as described in the section on analytics below. They never contain birth details, chart labels, emails, tokens or full page addresses.
  • Ordinary server records: like any website, our hosting and network providers process IP addresses and technical request data to deliver pages and protect the service. Our own application logs are written with personal details removed.

Birthplace and calculation

The suggestions you see while typing a birthplace come from a place database (GeoNames) that is stored on our own servers. Your search text and your chosen place are not sent to a map, geocoding or astrology service run by someone else. The chart itself is calculated on our own servers with a public astronomical ephemeris, so your birth details do not leave our infrastructure to produce a result.

AI readings and chat

AI readings and chat answers are written by a third-party AI model that runs at our AI provider, DeepInfra. If DeepInfra is unavailable, we may switch to another provider of the same kind, which then receives the same limited information described here.

The AI provider receives only the calculated chart: the signs, whole degrees within a sign and houses of the planets and angles, whether a planet is retrograde, the aspects between them and the name of the calculation method, or, when the birth time is unknown, only the signs or possible signs of the planets. The calculated chart also includes the sign and house of Black Moon Lilith and of the Part of Fortune, and, for a forecast, the new and full moons and eclipses of the forecast period (their date, sign and the house of your chart they fall in). It never receives your birth date, birth time, birthplace or its coordinates, the label of a chart, your name or your email address.

For a chat answer the provider also receives your question and up to ten earlier messages (questions and answers) of the same chart’s chat. Before your words are sent, we remove what looks like dates, times, places, coordinates, email addresses and phone numbers. This filter is best effort and free text cannot be cleaned perfectly, so please do not type personal details into the chat. Your stored question keeps your own words.

We send this information only so that the provider can return the answer. According to DeepInfra’s privacy policy, it does not store, sell or train on the data sent to and returned by its inference service unless its customer explicitly consents. We check every answer against the chart on our own servers before you see it. We do not use your birth details, questions or answers to train AI models, and we do not use AI to make decisions about you.

Guest results

You can calculate a chart without an account. The result is stored on our server and linked to your guest session. Another browser, or someone who only has the page address, cannot open it.

A guest result is deleted automatically seven days (168 hours) after it was created. Opening it again does not extend this period. You can also delete it earlier with “Delete this unsaved result” on the chart page; once the server confirms, access to the result is closed. If you clear your cookies you may lose access to the result before it is deleted, but this does not make us keep it longer.

An AI reading of a guest result is stored with it and deleted with it. If you sign in and save the result, its readings and chat move to the saved chart.

We do not keep birth details in your browser’s local storage, and birth details are never placed in page addresses.

Calculators that do not save anything

The solar return, transits, astrocartography and birth chart compatibility calculators show their result on the page only. The birth details you enter there are sent to our server only to calculate that result; they are not stored in our database, in your browser’s storage or in page addresses, and are not included in product events or logs. Reloading or leaving the page discards the result. If you choose one of your own charts instead, we read it only after checking that it belongs to your guest session or account.

The Venus, Mars, Mercury, Chiron and North Node and Saturn return calculators also calculate your birth chart, and that chart is kept as an ordinary guest result for seven days, as described under Guest results. What these calculators add to it (the positions of Chiron and the lunar nodes, the dates of the Saturn return) is calculated the same way as above and is not stored.

The Moon phase and lunar calendar pages send your device’s time zone name to show local times; it is not stored.

Accounts and saved charts

Signing in does not save anything by itself. A chart is saved only when you choose Save after signing in, and charts are private to your account. We do not publish profiles and we do not offer sharing.

You can rename a saved chart, correct its birth details (which recalculates it and asks you to confirm the new version), delete a chart, or delete your account. Deleting a chart removes it and its stored birth details. Deleting your account closes access and ends all of your sessions immediately, and your saved charts and account records are then queued for permanent removal. We aim to remove them from active storage within 24 hours and from backups within 30 days. Backup rotation is outside the application, so these are targets we work to, not a guarantee of an exact time.

AI readings and the chat of a chart are kept for as long as the chart exists and are deleted together with the chart or the account. You can also delete a chart’s chat at any time with “Clear chat”. When you correct a chart’s birth details, earlier readings and answers are kept and marked as outdated.

Our database is backed up every night. A copy is stored in Cloudflare R2 object storage and deleted there after 30 days. To make sure that a restored backup does not bring deleted data back, we keep a minimal record that a deletion happened and apply it again after any restore. It contains no birth details, labels, chat text or email address.

Other people’s birth details

You can calculate and save charts for other people, for example family members or friends. Please do this only if you have the right to enter their details. We treat those details exactly like your own: private to your account, deleted when you delete the chart or the account, and never used for advertising. If you are the person whose details were entered by someone else and want them removed, contact us and we will help.

The compatibility calculator asks for a second person’s birth details. Enter them only if you have the right to. We use them only to calculate the comparison; they are not saved, not linked to your session or account, and are discarded when the answer is sent.

Subscription and payments

We sell Astrolivo Premium directly and use Stripe as our payment processor. When you subscribe, you pay on Stripe’s checkout page, and Stripe collects your email address, your payment card and the billing details it needs, such as your country, under its own privacy policy. We do not send Stripe your name, your email address or any birth or chart information: we send only an internal account identifier, so that the payment can be linked to your account.

Stripe tells us the subscription status, the billing period and the payments made, and we keep the records listed under What we collect to switch Premium on and off and to handle cancellations, refunds and disputes. You can see your invoices and manage or cancel the subscription in Stripe’s customer portal, opened from your account page.

If you delete your account, the subscription is cancelled at Stripe first, our account identifier is removed from your Stripe customer record, and our subscription records are deleted with the account. Payment records (amount, currency, date and the Stripe invoice and subscription identifiers), and the Stripe identifiers we need to finish cancelling a subscription, are kept without a link to your account for as long as accounting and tax law require. Stripe keeps its own records as required by law.

How we use information

We do not sell personal information, we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, we do not show ads and we do not run advertising measurement. Astrolivo does not use session recordings.

  • To calculate and show your chart and, if you ask us to, to save it.
  • To write AI readings and chat answers about your charts and to check them against the chart.
  • To process subscription payments, apply Premium to your account and handle cancellations, refunds and disputes.
  • To keep you signed in, to secure the service and to prevent abuse, for example by limiting the number of requests and AI uses per account, session and network address. These counters hold only numbers under one-way hashed identifiers; daily and monthly counters expire shortly after their period ends. The count of free chat questions used on a chart has no expiry: it is a number stored under a one-way hash of the chart’s identifier, and after the chart is deleted it cannot be linked to you.
  • To answer your requests and to carry out deletions.
  • To understand, in aggregate and only where this policy allows, how the site is used and where it breaks, so that we can improve it.

Who processes information for us

We use service providers who process information on our behalf and only for running the service. We do not sell or rent information to anyone.

  • Hosting infrastructure (a virtual private server) that runs the website, the calculation service and the database.
  • Cloudflare, which carries the traffic to the website as our network and security provider and stores the off-site copy of our backups in its R2 object storage. It also tells our servers the country a request comes from; we use this only to decide which privacy rules apply (see Your choices) and we do not store the country.
  • DeepInfra, our AI provider, which receives the calculated chart and the filtered chat text described in the section on AI readings and chat, and nothing else.
  • Stripe, our payment processor, if you subscribe, as described in the section on subscription and payments.
  • An email delivery provider, to send sign-in links, when sign-in is switched on.
  • Google, only if you choose Google sign-in.
  • PostHog, in its US cloud, for product analytics and error reports, as described below.

Analytics and error reports

Our own server records a small set of product events: a public page visit that starts a session, a birth form being submitted (which calculator, whether the time is known, nothing else), a result being viewed, a calculation failing (a safe error category), an account being created, and a chart being saved, opened or updated. Page paths are recorded as templates, for example a chart page is recorded as the template for any chart, never with its identifier.

For AI features and Premium we also record: an AI reading being started, completed or failing (the kind of topic, whether you were signed in, its cost and duration, an error category), a chat question being sent (no text), a usage limit being reached, a paywall being shown (its reason), a checkout being started, and payment and subscription changes reported by Stripe: a payment (its Stripe invoice identifier, amount, currency, whether it was a first payment or a renewal and whether it was a test payment), a failed payment, a payment dispute, and a subscription starting or being cancelled. Payment and subscription events follow the analytics choice saved for your account or, without one, the rules for the region and the Global Privacy Control signal seen when you started checkout.

Events are stored with the random identifier of your browser session and, if you are signed in, your account identifier. They are never linked to birth details, chart labels, chat questions, AI answers or prompts, emails, tokens, full addresses, referrers or IP addresses. A copy of the events is sent to PostHog with the session identifier only (never the account), without the IP address and without a person profile. We do not collect clicks or form contents automatically, and we do not use heatmaps or session replay.

Technical errors are reported to PostHog after personal details have been removed from them. Reports from our servers are about our software, not about you, and carry no session or account identifier. Reports from your browser follow your analytics choice where permission is required.

Your choices

Where you are decides how optional analytics works. If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, or if we cannot tell where you are, no analytics events are recorded until you allow them. In other places, including the United States, analytics runs by default and you can switch it off.

We honor the Global Privacy Control signal sent by your browser as a request not to sell or share your personal information: it switches off the copy of events sent to PostHog and keeps advertising off. Because we do not sell or share personal information, “Do not sell or share my personal information” is always the setting in effect.

Calculating a chart, signing in and everything else the service needs to work do not depend on analytics, and refusing analytics only makes our statistics incomplete. You can change your analytics choice at any time below. Withdrawing it stops further collection; it does not undo what was recorded before.

Privacy Choices

Loading your choices…

Cookies and browser storage

  • A necessary session cookie keeps your guest session or sign-in working. It is Secure, HttpOnly and SameSite=Lax. Without it the service cannot show you your own result.
  • A cookie that remembers your color theme (dark or light), if you choose one.
  • Storage that remembers your privacy choice, if you make one.
  • Browser analytics storage is not used before you allow analytics where permission is required.
  • When you pay, you are on Stripe’s checkout page or customer portal, which set their own cookies under Stripe’s policies.

Children

Astrolivo is intended solely for adults aged 18 and over. The service is not directed to anyone under 18, we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18, and no one under 18 may create an account. If you believe someone under 18 has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

An adult may enter the birth details of a family member, including a child, as “another person” in a private chart. We ask for no contact details or photos, we do not offer public sharing, and the details are handled as described in the section on other people’s birth details.

Your rights and requests

You can see, rename, correct and delete your saved charts yourself, clear the chat of a chart, manage or cancel your subscription, and delete your account in the account settings. The help section explains how to delete guest results, saved charts and your account.

If you live in California or another US state with a privacy law, you may have the right to know what personal information we hold, to access, correct and delete it, to opt out of sale, sharing and targeted advertising (we do none of these), and not to be treated worse for using these rights. If you are in the EEA, the UK or Switzerland, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing, to receive your information in a portable form, to withdraw consent at any time, and to complain to your local data protection authority. Our bases for processing are providing the service you ask for (including a subscription you buy), your consent for optional analytics where it is required, our legal obligations for payment records, and our legitimate interest in security, in preventing abuse and in fixing errors.

For these requests, email us at [email protected].

We may need to confirm that a request comes from the person it concerns before acting on it. We do not charge for it. The information is processed in Hong Kong and wherever our providers operate; where the law requires, we rely on appropriate safeguards for these transfers.

Security

We use technical and organizational measures that fit the sensitivity of birth details: encrypted connections, HttpOnly session cookies, access checks on every private page and request, and logs without personal details. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

Changes to this policy

We will update this policy as the service changes and publish the new version here with its effective date (October 28, 2026 for this version). If a change materially affects how we use personal information, we will give additional notice where appropriate.
